Mark started his career in sports marketing at Lancashire County Cricket Club. Then after three years as Events Manager at Edgbaston, Mark became Commercial Director of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, overseeing success on and off the field, in a period when Gloucestershire won five trophies in two seasons. Mark has also managed health clubs, worked as a personal trainer and sports therapist, and has worked in hotel management. At Circuit Mark is the planner, strategist and resident sports expert. Karen spent all her school years avoiding sport at all costs, but from 17 years old has subsequently spent every year immersed in the sporting world. Karen spent seven years at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, fulfilling many roles, starting as a receptionist before working as an accounts assistant, coaching coordinator and pa to the Chief Executive. After taking several years out to raise a family Karen returned to work at Circuit.Karen manages the accounts, event logistics and administration at Circuit, using her strong organisational skills. If you book anything from Circuit Karen will be responsible for ensuring you receive your tickets and event packs, as well as making sure you have paid! Outside of work Karen has grown to love sport, and enjoys hospitality days out at Villa Park (perhaps for the food and drink!), Zumba and Pilates, as well as reading detective novels.
Carole has worked in the sports and events industry since 2003, having previously worked as Development Manager for Kings School, Gloucester. With experience of many aspects of event and sports management, including expertise in sports fundraising, Carole brings a depth of industry knowledge and a love of sport to Circuit.Carole looks after our client and trade customers, so if you call in to the office she will more often than not be the one to look after you. Carole loves spending time with her family, especially her four grandchildren, loves champagne and ice cream (not together) and has a passion for cooking – she makes far too many delicious cakes for the office though! She also has a real love of cricket, including scoring with her pencil in a long green book!
Although the youngest member of the team Matt already has a varied career path, starting with a job at 15 years old as a chef de partie in a two Michelin star restaurant. He then went on to develop his sales and commercial skills over a number of years in different roles. Matt has also developed extensive technical knowledge and skills in his career to date, so is our ‘expert in everything'. Matt is Circuit’s commercial manager; developing products, systems and new routes to market to grow the business. He is also our resident office ‘techie’, looking after all our online marketing and systems, and in any time he has left he also manages our larger distributors. Outside of Circuit Matt loves cars and driving, visiting his extended family in Gibraltar, and is partial to a good medium rib eye steak (and the odd night out with his friends!
Everyone at Circuit is a dog lover, and although on occasions we had five lovable canines around the office, currently we only have Ruby. Ruby is a 3 year old black Labrador and German Shepherd cross, who is definitely on guard most of the time. With a significant overbite she always wears a smile, has more energy than the national grid, and has enough ear positions to create her own internationally recognised signalling code. When she is told off she converts to stealth mode, crawling round the floor as if she thinks we can’t see her.
